Welcome. I am a member of the Network Communications and Economics Lab (NCEL) in the Department of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I obtained my Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Northwestern University in 2005 and 2003, respectively. I also spent two years as a Postdoc Research Associate in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University during 2005-2007.

My main research interests are in the area of nonlinear optimization and game theoretical analysis of communication networks, with current focus on network economics, cognitive radio networks, broadband communication networks, and multimedia over wireless. Recently I have received the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award of 2009, and the Best Paper Award in the 2009 Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications.

NCEL (Network Communications and Economics Lab): I lead a research lab called NCEL. A new lab website is launched in February, 2010, where you can find out the lab members, descriptions of our key research areas and projects, a complete list of publications, and various academic institutions and companies that we have been collaborating with. Please check our openings and contract us if you are interested in joining NCEL.
